New computers for Escuela Integrada’s computer lab

Nehemiah Project donates new computers for Escuela Integrada computer lab

The Nehemiah Project donated 23 new laptop computers for the computer lab at Escuela Integrada! The new computers will be used for both the elementary and middle school levels, serving students from first through ninth grade.

“This donation allows each student to use a computer during computer classes and perform the exercises and tasks that the teacher needs,” said Hernan Garcia, program director of Escuela Integrada.

This gift helps expand the technology education curriculum at Escuela Integrada and will equip students with tools for the future. Having access to the new computers will also contribute to the learning process of the students, said Garcia.

“We believe that technology is fundamental in the educational development of students,” Garcia said. “These computers had long been a necessity, a dream, and now they are a reality.”

Founded by Paul Peters, the Nehemiah Project is a network of community partners who hope to have a lasting impact on future generations.

Save the dates! GRACES Supporters’ Gathering returns Nov 4-8

GRACES Supporters’ Gathering dates have been set! We invite you to join us in Guatemala the week of November 4-8. All past, present and future supporters of GRACES are welcome to attend.

The week-long celebration includes three graduation ceremonies (kindergarten, 6th grade and 9th grade) as well as cultural activities, updates from the organization, home visits and more. It’s a fantastic time to meet other supporters and share in the joy of the students’ academic accomplishments.

If you are interested in learning more, please fill out the Supporters Gathering Interest Form. This form is not an obligation to attend, but simply a way for us to see how many people would like to learn more. We also ask that you complete the form if you know for sure that you are coming!

For those who are interested in looking at flights, we recommend arriving in Guatemala on Monday or Tuesday, November 3 or 4, in time for dinner on November 4. It is best to depart on Saturday, November 9, unless you plan to extend your trip for personal reasons.

We hope to see you in November!
