English will unlock doors for our graduates

This past Monday we held our first-ever Hello! English Club meet-up on Zoom for students to connect with GRACES’ supporters and practice their English language skills. Small groups met in breakout rooms to ask questions like, “What is your favorite food?”, “What do you like to do outside of school?” and “Who is in your family?”

Participants enjoyed getting to know each other in this new virtual format, and had lots of fun facts to share when they returned to the whole group!

Opportunities like these are what makes the Hello! English Club so special. For a low monthly commitment of $25, $50 or $75, you can help all of the students at Escuela Integrada have access to English language instruction.

The Hello! English Club provides funding for the English teacher’s salary, English language learning materials, daily English instruction for middle school students, and English intensive scholarships. We know from current research and trends that knowing English will be required for our graduates to obtain stable employment and/or continue their education.

As a member of the Hello! English Club, you will receive quarterly video updates about the program and have access to the exclusive members’ Facebook group. You will also be invited to future virtual meet-ups for conversation and connection, as well as a year-end celebration!

With rising costs, we know that committing to sponsoring a student at Escuela Integrada may not be feasible for all of our supporters and past Vision Trip participants. Joining the Hello! English Club is a small but mighty way to make a BIG impact on the future for our students.
