Racing for GRACES is now Corriendo por Oportunidades!
Your registration supports the runners at Escuela Integrada!
Racing for GRACES is back… with a new name! Join us this year for Corriendo por Oportunidades on May 4, 2024. The race will be held in person in Guatemala with students, staff and families participating in a 3k or 6k race.
The race will leave from the front of Escuela Integrada along a course through Jocotenango and back to the school. GRACES will be supporting the effort of the local Escuela Integrada Board of Directors in making this event a success!
When we started Racing for GRACES back in the spring of 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we never could have imagined such a fun, celebratory, in-person race through the streets of Jocotenango with the families we serve at the school. Now that we have an annual race in Guatemala, our support and participation will look different.
No longer are we tracking miles or establishing teams throughout the U.S.—we are simply asking you to run alongside us in solidarity with those in Guatemala. You can still run a race of your own choosing at home, or simply take a walk with a dear friend while sporting your new Corriendo por Oportunidades t-shirt.
Your registration supports the runners—and, ultimately, education—at Escuela Integrada!

Visit with Sandra in Oklahoma or Arkansas!
Sandra Hernandez, GRACES’ Vision Trip coordinator, will be in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Rogers, Arkansas, April 27 to May 6. The primary purpose of her visit is to speak at First Methodist Church in Tulsa during Global Outreach Week and to visit with the church community at Central Methodist Church in Rogers.
In Tulsa, Sandra will participate in a panel discussion on April 28 other events April 29-30 and May 3-6. In Rogers, Sandra will join CUMC Rogers for lunch on May 2. For locations and specific details, please reach out to Sandra directly.
During Sandra’s time in both locations, she will also be available to meet with GRACES supporters 1:1 or in small gatherings. If you would like to schedule a time with her for coffee, a meal or a visit, please email her at sandra@wearegraces.org.
