Meet the Students

GRACES implements its vision and purpose through supporting the school in education and nutrition programs, counseling, mentoring, and longterm sustainability programs. All of the children attending the school are indigenous and live with the effects of daily prejudice, abuse, poverty and social inequities.

Age: 14“In my free time I like to read, listen to music and decorate. There are 4 people in my family. My dad works selling hardware supplies and my mom is a seamstress. When I grow up I want to be a cook or engineer. My goals are to go to university and work very hard to accomplish my dreams. I think respect, equality, humility and friendship are the most important values. I want to help my family move forward economically. In the future I want to become an excellent person. Things I want to see change in my country are less contamination and no more trash in the street.”
