Meet the Students

GRACES implements its vision and purpose through supporting the school in education and nutrition programs, counseling, mentoring, and longterm sustainability programs. All of the children attending the school are indigenous and live with the effects of daily prejudice, abuse, poverty and social inequities.

There are 6 people in my family. My father is a carpenter and my mother is a housewife. The career that I want to continue is accountant. My goal is to graduate and work very much. The value that is important to me is responsibility. What I want for my family is happiness. What I want for my future is to be with my family and can be graduate. The change I want to see in Guatemala is that to not see more poor people. I want to help them.

My biggest goal is to finish each grade and graduate so I can become a successful doctor. I think respect is the most important value. Things I want for my family are for us to love and respect each other. Things I hope change for the positive in Guatemala are every child have nutritious food and I hope when I become a doctor I can help people who don’t have enough food.”
