Meet the Students

GRACES implements its vision and purpose through supporting the school in education and nutrition programs, counseling, mentoring, and longterm sustainability programs. All of the children attending the school are indigenous and live with the effects of daily prejudice, abuse, poverty and social inequities.

When I grow up I want to work hard to become a well respect administrator of my own business. My goal is to go to college and to do that I need to do all of my homework and keep doing what my teachers tell me. Things I want for my family are to have a good future and I want to support my parents. I hope in the future I can become a good person. If I could change one thing about Guatemala it would be less pollution so we can have a cleaner environment.”

I hope in the future I can become a licenser and build a house for my parents. Peace is the most important value to me because I like things to be calm. Something I want for my family is for my parents to have the opportunity to study.  In the future I hope to have a better life for my family. Positive changes I want to see happen in Guatemala are more safety and imprison all the extortionists.”
